“It’s that feeling when you hear your favorite song…that feeling whether you’re in a car or a party or alone at home in bed, and you hear the song and it hits you so strong…that’s sort of my favorite thing about music.”—Julian Casablancas
“Discover yourself as a Being of Light, not as an aura but as a pure luminous consciousness which lights up all things as it turns towards them.”—Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, Toward The One (via fernsandmoss)
I’m really worried for future generations and even my own generation. The world seems to be screaming at us to care more and more about how we look. I think we should push all of that aside and consider what we want to become. Girls are spending $10,000 to get a boob job where they could have spent that money paying for education that’s going to get them their dream job. Or putting $10,000 into a fund to start their own business. People might like the way you look now but as your life moves forward you’ll be looking back to see what you’ve accomplished. Who cares if the shallow people of this world adore you, chances are they are not going to fund your future as a success; that’s entirely up to you. I choose success.
