“You are the content of your character. You are the ambitions that drive you. You are the goals that you set. You are the things that you laugh at and the words that you say. You are the thoughts you think and the things you wonder. You are beautiful and desirable not for the clique you attend, but for the spark of life within you that compels you to make your life a full and meaningful one. You are beautiful not for the shape of the vessel, but for the volume of the soul it carries.”—Unknown (via black-wolves)
I’ve been eating nothing but raw foods for the past 2 days in an attempt to detox my body. It’s all good apart from the lack of caffeine = I’m a fucking zombie. Maybe it’s just my mind paying tricks on me. blehhh. In other news, whilst delving into the world of Blake Anderson[delicious] I stumbled across my new lady crush, his girlfriend, whom I don’t know the name of…. yet. I just spent some quality time swooning over her blog you should too STEAKTOOTH
“If you were mine, I’d kiss your ankles and neck and the tip of your nose. I’d bring you film canisters filled with love notes and interesting books and I’d send you texts with random facts whenever I discovered something new. I’d show up at your house at midnight with a pot of your favourite kind of tea and a blanket and tell you to come down so we could lie down on your lawn and look at the stars. I’d go into the city with you and throw away your map and search for someplace beautiful. I’d photograph you every day. I’d buy you baggy t-shirts and sing to you constantly. I’d give you your space if you wanted it, I’d make you mixes for every week we’d been together, I’d hold your hand underwater, and I’d love you until you asked me not to.”—Camryn Pulasky (via black-wolves)
Weekend was cray and full of the things I love: Rics, snakebites, Josie’s boobs, Mt Everest, eye tests, Ratty, mini road trip, slush puppies, menthols, mixed CDs, Dine-in Pizza hut, coffee, fruity lexia, face juggler, Mickey Avalon, pineapple juice, Jeffrey Campbell’s, noise complaints, interpretive dancing, balcony hangs, awkward turtle, drive-by compliments, vintage cars, Bruce, sleep.
This time around Mickey wasn’t on LSD so he managed to remember all of his lyrics. It’s sad to say it’s more fun when he’s a complete mess. But I’ll definitely be returning next year because the crowd is guaranteed babe-town errytime.
“The sexes have been too easily defined. People are so rigidly locked into these two little categories. I don’t know anybody who is absolutely, exclusively heterosexual. It limits people’s potential in so many areas. I think we should slap down these barriers.”—Morrissey, in a Rolling Stone interview from June 1984 (via fernsandmoss)
“I love being in cities with lots of other people, because I’m reminded that there are billions of people like me, and we are each stuck inside of our minds, feverishly trying to crawl out to make connections with other people.”—John Green
